Showcase: Strategy Book


OBJECTIVE

Design a strategy book that serves as a foundation for the next two years, providing stakeholders with a clear roadmap and unified direction.

CHALLENGES

The initial idea was to create a single theme that would flow seamlessly through the entire book, from the cover to the inside pages. But as we began developing cover page options and layouts,it became clear that the cover and the inside pages needed distinct treatments to work effectively. This meant striking the right balance betweenvisual cohesion and functional clarity. Additionally, eachchapter required a unique treatment to bring out its individuality, while still ensuring the entire book looked and felt like an authentic extension of Epiroc’s brand identity. Achieving this level of consistency across varied design needs was the key challenge.

SOLUTIONS

We approached the design by introducing a color-coded system, where each section was assigned a distinct color that reflected the theme of its content. This created an instant sense of structure and clarity, helping readers navigate seamlessly through the book. To complement this, we developed minimal yet impactful iconography. The final outcome was a well-structured strategy book that stakeholders could not only use as a reference but also take pride in as a representation of the company’s vision.
